Theme Settings
In theme settings, you can define your brand colors, fonts, buttons, and specify various headers such as Standard Header, Light Overlay Header, and Dark Overlay Header. You have the option to set a default header from these choices. Additionally, these header types can be overridden in the page editor through the Page Settings module, depending on your header background.
You can edit a theme's settings from the content editor for any page or post using that theme:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Website > Website Pages.
- Create a new Website Page or Landing Page or hover over existing content and click Edit if you already have a page created with this theme.
- In the content editor, click the Edit menu and select Theme.
Website header
The website header contains important features such as your logo, navigation, search icon, button, and other relevant elements. Here's how you can edit it:
- Edit any page that displays the website header and click the global header located at the top of the page.
- In the dialog box, click Open in Global Content Editor.
- Select the Contents in the Global Content Editor and update the header module.
Add your white or light logo in the Logo Light tab and the dark or colored logo in the Logo Dark tab. You can choose either of these logos for specific header types in theme settings, such as Standard Header, Light Overlay Header, and Dark Overlay Header depending on the header background.
To set up navigation, choose from menu types like HubSpot Menu, Mega Menu, Custom Menu, or None. The Mega Menu and Custom Menu can be configured directly within the header module. To set up the HubSpot Menu, follow the steps outlined Set up your site's navigation menus
Page Settings
The Page Settings module allows you to override the default header type, enable/disable the sticky header, and set the menu position to the left near the logo or to the right.
To access the Page Settings module, click on the Contents tab, and under the Hidden modules section click Page Settings.
Blog
Setup Blog
Creating a HubSpot blog is easy. Follow these steps to get started:
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Website > Blog.
- In the Current view section, click the first dropdown menu and select Create new blog.
- After providing the necessary information, go to the Template section and choose the Discover blog templates for both the Blog Post Template and the Blog Listing Page, respectively.

Create Blog Post
- Go to Marketing > Website > Blog in the main navigation bar.
- Click Generate blog post or Create button
Blog Post Settings
- In the Contents tab on the left panel of the Blog post editor, click on the Blog Post Settings module under the Hidden modules.
- In the dialog box, click Open in Global Content Editor.
- Here, you can enable or disable various post options.
You can also enable or disable other modules, such as the Blog Post Sidebar module and Blog Related Posts module. Each module contains display options for the posts.
Blog Listing
The Blog Listing is a DnD template consists of modules like Blog Listing, Blog Listing Sidebar, and Blog Pagination, all of which are easy to customize.
System Pages
- In your HubSpot account, click the Settings icon in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Website > Pages.
- Click the System Pages tab.
- Click the dropdown menus to select the corresponding Discover template.
Similarly, you can select email subscription page templates
- In your HubSpot account, click the Settings icon in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Marketing > Email in the left sidebar menu.
- Click the Subscriptions tab.
- Click the dropdown menus to select the corresponding Discover template.
