What's on our phone home screens

When you work in marketing, the most important thing is to be in the places where peoples' attention is focused. Initially for several decades, this meant being on the radio. Then gradually television came in the picture and became the most important marketing medium for a whole generation of companies. However, television has now been replaced by a new single most important screen in the lives of moderna Americans: their phones. Now that peoples' phones are the single biggest focus of attention, it's vitally important for marketers to understand how people are using them and communicating on them, so that they can maintain their relevance in the lives of their audience. With this in mind, we decided to use ourselves as a research test subject, and investigate what we as a team all keep on our personal phone home screens.
